Description
A chemical that reacts with, and thus neutralizes, any free chlorine or hypochlorite. Antichlor agents, such as Sodium sulfite, Sodium thiosulfate, and Sodium borohydride, are generally added to pulp stock following bleaching rinses to eliminate residual chlorine ions.
