Description

The intensity of a beam of radiation. In its simplest form, radiant energy is used synonymously with the word light. Radiant energy is measured as the number of photons passing through an imaginary plane held perpendicular to the beam. The effects of light are measured in terms of its quality (color), quantity (energy) and duration (time).

Synonyms and Related Terms
