Description
A plain weave fabric made from twisted novelty yarns. Ratiné has an open weave with tufts of yarns that produce a knobby texture, similar to what is currently called Terrycloth. It was made from Worsted, Cotton or other yarns. The spongy fabric was also used for coats.
