Description

[Dow Corning] A registered trademark for a family of RTV silicone rubbers. Silastic® elastomers are two-part systems that cure at room temperature. This family of rubbers have a wide serviceable temperature range from -73 to 260 C. The curing time can vary from 20 minutes to 48 hours depending on the product. Silastic® elastomers have been used for mold making because they capture detail well. In industry, Silastic® rubbers are used for gaskets, seals, coated fabrics, cable, and insulation.
