Description

[BASF] Brand name for a Polycyclohexanone resin that was manufactured from 1967 to 1982. Ketone Resin N replaced AW-2 then was itself replaced by Laropal K-80 (de la Rie and Shedrinsky 1989). Ketone Resin N is prepared by the polycondensation of cyclohexanone. It is more brittle and susceptible to oxidation than the modified polycyclohexanones such as MS2A. Ketone Resin N was used in the original BEVA® 371 formulation.
