Description
A dark yellow, drying oil obtained from the nuts of the Aleurites cordata tree native to Japan and cultivated in Brazil. Japanese tung oil is not exported because it is considered superior to Chinese tung oil because it does not coagulate when heated. Japanese tung oil is used for furniture varnishes, soaps, and to waterproof paper and cloth.
