Centre Interdisciplinaire de Conservation et de Restauration du Patrimoine (CICRP) - Interdisciplinary Centre for Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage)
Located in Marseille the CICRP is active in the areas of preventive conservation, curative conservation and restoration of public and private cultural heritage. CICRP activities are practiced in agreement with thr rules of the French Ministry of Culture.
These operations can concern museums, historical buildings, archives, libraries, regional collections of contemporary art, or any institutions keeping art objects or cultural heritage artefacts.
The competence domains are:
• contemporary art and its materials • graphic arts • easel paintings • mural paintings • stone • preventive conservation, especially biological contaminations (moulds and infestation)
Moreover, the CICRP conducts studies and research works dedicated to cultural heritage materials alteration and conservation.
