Description
A mottled black, white, and yellow beetle, Anthrenus verbasci. The varied carpet beetle larvae feeds on Wool, Fur, Hair, Horn, hides, feathers, spices, drugs, grains, and Insect specimens. The adult insects are about 2 to 3 millimeters long and can live up to 39 days. They lay eggs that hatch in 17 to 18 days. The larvae have a black and yellow body that grows in length 4 to 5 mm. The larval stage lasts 222 to 322 days.
