Description
1) A Leather made from the skin of a shark. Sharkskin is a tough, strong leather that is usually vegetable tanned. It has been used for book covers, shoes, and luggage.

2) A smooth, twilled fabric. Sharkskin cloth is woven with warp and filling yarns of alternating light and dark colors. Lightweight sharkskin is made from Rayon and Acetate for dresses, blouses, and skirts. A heavier, medium weight fabric is made from Wool for suits.
