Description
A composite plastic that is stronger than the pure resin because it contains a reinforcing material. Examples of reinforcement are fibers, filaments, mats, or fabrics made of glass, metal, carbon, boron, or aluminum silicate. The types of plastics used for base resins are: polyester, epoxy, phenolic, polypropylene, polystyrene, nylon, polycarbonate, and polyphenylene oxide.
