Description
An indicator of bleach consumption. Chlorine number is defined as the number of grams of chlorine or bleaching powder absorbed by 100 grams of dry cellulose pulp usually in a 15 minute time frame at room temperature. A high chlorine number indicates that the pulp has a high lignin content.
