Description

A type of harness Leather prepared from vegetable-tanned, smooth-grain cowhide. Thin sheets (1-2 mm) of Vachette leather were used for carriage covers, upholstery and trim, while thicker sheets (2-5 mm) were used for harnesses and bridles (Kuhn 1986).
