Description
[Ciba-Geigy] A registered trademark for a hindered amine light stabilizer. Tinuvin® 292 is composed of a mixture of two active tertiary amine ingredients: bis(1,2,3,6,6-pentramethyl-4-piperidinyl)sebacate, and methyl(1,2,2,6,6-pentamethyl-4-piperidinyl)sebacate. Tinuvin® 292 is a pale yellow color liquid at room temperature. This UV light absorber was developed specifically for the stabilization of plastics, coatings and inks. It is used commercially in automotive coatings, wood stains, and other coatings. In the conservation field, Tinuvin® 292 is used as a light stabilizer Gamvar Picture Varnish.
