Uemera's notes The resultant color would be same when using the dried flowers as dyestuff. According to Mr. Shoichi Gotoh (後藤捷一氏), the flower was used for dyeing blue black in Tokushima region, Japan. The plant is sometimes also called as Tsukimisō (月見草).
