Description
A soft, thick, heavy, loosely twisted cotton yarn. Candlewick yarn is used for making tufted bedspreads, towels, and carpets. The yarns are also used for embroidery and lace making. Thick yarns are used for wicks in candles. Candlewick fabric is made with loops of candlewicking yarn applied to an unbleached muslin base. The loops are often cut to produce a fuzzy effect.
