Description

An agate that contains a moss-like, dendritic pattern of manganese oxide or iron oxide. Moss agates have been used as a gemstones and ornamental stones since the late iron age (500-50 BCE). Moss agates have been found in Montana and California. Amberine is a yellow-green moss agate.
