Description
Poisonous, odorless white crystals with a bitter taste. Barium chloride can be mixed with Potassium dichromate to form the pigment Barium yellow. It is also used as a mordant for acid dyes, as a pesticide, and as a component in leather tanning solutions.
Other Properties
Soluble in water, methanol. Insoluble in acetone, ethanol, ethyl acetate.

Hazards and Safety
