Description
Elastic Recoil Detection Analysis (ERDA) is an Ion Beam Analysis technique based on the elastic recoil at forward angles of nuclei lighter than the projectile. By using an external beam of helium ions one can determine hydrogen concentration depth profiles in gemstones like emeralds.
