Description
An intense, but cool light with good color rendering. The lamp is directed at a dichroic mirror that reflects visible radiation to the object for imaging while transmitting the infrared radiation through the mirror and away from the object. Dichroic coatings work well initially but can deteriorate over time causing noticeable changes in the color and wavelength distribution of the light.
