Description

Organic salts of manganese used to speed the curing time of drying oils. Manganese driers act as an oxidation catalyst, drying the film from the top down. Excess amounts can cause the film to wrinkle. Manganese driers are often mixed with cobalt driers to minimize skinning. Examples of manganese driers are: manganese dioxide, manganese carbonate, manganese octoate, manganese oleate, manganese oxalate, manganese linoleate, manganese resinate and manganese naphthenate.
