Description
[Purafil, Inc.] A trademark for a small electronic instrument that continuously monitors temperature, humidity and atmospheric pollutants levels. Introduced in 1993, OnGuard® provides a digital readout of the information. Analysis of the type and concentration of pollutants are based on the corrosion rate of internal metal coupons made from copper and silver. The unit is only sensitive to corrosion causing pollutants such as ammonia, ozone, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, nitrogen oxide, organic acids and chlorine compounds.
