Description
[Shell] A brand name for a vapor phase corrosion inhibitor. VPI 260 is composed of dicyclohexyl amine nitrite. It is used as a corrosion inhibitor for silver, steel and aluminum. VPI 260 forms a thin protective layer on the surface of the metal which minimizes the transmission of moisture and oxygen. It is used in antitarnish wrapping papers.
