Description
A thermoplastic resin made by the condensation of Polyvinyl alcohol with Butyraldehyde. Polyvinyl butyral is a colorless, flexible tough solid. It is used in sheet form as the center adhesive layer in safety glass. It is also used to waterproof textiles. Polyvinyl butyral is weather resistant. See also Butvar®.
