Physical and Chemical Properties

EVA based HMAs:

  • Have 2 year long shelf-life and do not loose volume on cooling
  • Do have any specific disposal requirements
  • May be susceptible to oxidation and UV degradation with age

Forms/Sizes

EVA based formulations include:

  • 3M hot melt adhesive 3748
  • 3M Scotch-Weld Hot melt adhesive 3762Q
  • 3M Jet Melt Glue Sticks 3764
  • 3M Scotch-Weld Low melt glue
  • 3M Quadrack hot glue
  • Maxistick 6300 Hot Melt Glue Stick
  • Thermogrip® 6363
  • Evo-Stik® 7702

Low temperature hot-melt glue (3M #3792 LMQ) is used for paperboard and foam

High temperature hot melt glue (3M #3748Q) is used for Coroplast.
