Willow oak Quercus phellos

Description

A type of red oak tree, Quercus phellos, native to the southeastern areas of the U.S. The willow oak has heavy, reddish-brown, coarse-grain wood. It is widely used commercially for flooring, furniture, cabinets, paneling, and millwork.
