Description
A pot-bellied, water-storing tree, Andansonia gregorii, native to the arid regions of western Australia. The boab, or bottle, tree is related to the African baobab tree. It produces a large, gourd-like fruit whose woody shell has been carved into bowls, utensils, and ornamental items.
