Maleic resin

Description
A polyester resin that is used as a lacquer coating, usually in mixtures with cellulose nitrate resins. Maleic resin is made from the combination of rosin or other natural resins with maleic anhydride in a glycerol solution. They dry quickly to form nonyellowing films.
