Description
The measurement of the amount of heat evolved or absorbed during a chemical reaction or physical change of state. Calorimeters are used to measure heat capacity. The units of heat are expressed as calories where a calorie is the amount of heat required to raise 1 gram of water 1 degree Celsius.
