Chlordecone

Description

A chlorinated hydrocarbon formerly used as an Insecticide and Fungicide. Kepone pellets, a commercial product containing 0.125% chlordecone, was introduced in 1961 for Cockroach control. The use of chlordecone has been banned in the U.S since 1977.
