Description

A method, usually associated with pain or fear, that reduces a specific activity. Deterrents are used to minimize the number of birds, such as pigeons or starlings, that roost in populated areas and produce unsightly droppings. Examples of deterrent methods include nets, spikes, wires, gels, plastic owls, electric shocks, along with many types of mechanical and ultrasonic devices.
