Asbestos paper

Description

A thin, flexible, fireproof insulating paper composed of felted Asbestos fibers. Asbestos paper is generally bonded with a solution of Sodium silicate, Silicone resin, or Clay. It is used as a thermal insulator for heat pipes as well as an electrical insulator for wires. Asbestos paper is inert to most chemicals.
