Description

An extremely hard rose-red wood obtained from the Mesua ferrea tree native to southeast Asia. Gangaw wood has a fine grain with even texture. The dense heartwood is a deep red color while the sapwood is a pale brown. Also known as ironwood, the gangaw wood is used for furniture, cabinetry, and inlays.
