Description

A small, evergreen oak tree, Quercus oblongifolia, native to the American southwest. Mexican blue oak trees produce a heavy, fine-grain wood.

Physical and Chemical Properties

• Small tree growing to 10 m
• Bark=light gray with rectangular patches
• Leaves =oblong 3-5 cm, stiff and blue-green color on top.
• Fruit=oblong acorn with bowl shaped cap, maturation takes 1 year.
