Description
A unit used to measure size that is equivalent to one-billionth of a meter. Older terms used for nanometer are 1 millimicron and 10 angstroms. Nanometers are the units typically used to measure particles with an Electron microscope. They are also used for measuring wavelengths of Electromagnetic radiation in the ultraviolet and visible regions.
