Description

A yellowish green colorant extracted from the leaves and branches of Spartium scoparium.

Physical and Chemical Properties

  • Soluble in methanol, hot water, ethanol, acetic acid, ethyl acetate, acetone, pyridine. Insoluble in cold water, ether, chloroform, benzene
  • UV max 345, 270 nm
  • Melting Point = 253 C
