Description
A transparent blue dye derived from anthraquinone. Solvent Blue 35 has the appearance of a dark blueish-black powder. It is soluble in benzene and toluene but insoluble in water. It is typically used to color plastics and polyester fabric.

Physical and Chemical Properties
- Soluble in benzene, toluene, alcoholic and other hydrocarbon solvents, including oils, fats and waxes
- Insoluble in water
- Good heat resistant and light fastness
- Produces a bright color in plastics
- Melting point = 104-105 C
