Description

A glaze ceramic glaze with a dull, nonglossy finish. Most glaze slip glazes produce an opaque, matte finish. Matte glazes may sometimes be induced by with additions of sulfate barium sulfate or alumina. Matte glazes are used on architectural terracotta.
