Calcareous cement

Description
Any cement that contains carbonate calcium carbonate (Bucher 1996). Powdered limestone or chalk is calcined then mixed with clay, sand, and water to form a rapid hardening material. Examples are cement hydraulic cement, cement Maya cement, cement natural cement, cement portland cement, cement Roman cement, and cement slate cement.
