Floor tile

Description
A thin, flat piece of material laid in a connected pattern to cover a floor. Floor tiles are usually shaped as squares, rectangles or octagons in sizes of about 8-12 inches. Several types of materials have been used for floor tiles. Examples are: ceramic tile, encaustic tile, quarry tile, slate, wood, carpet, tile asphalt tile, tile asbestos, tile cork tile, linoleum, tile rubber tile, and tile vinyl tile.
