Description

1) An old name used for solutions of nitrate cellulose nitrate dissolved in alcohol ethanol (Brady 1971).

2) An old name for cotton gauze oxidized with dioxide nitrogen dioxide. Soluble cotton gauze pads were used for surgical dressings (Brady 1971).
