Description

A descriptive crystalline form. A cubic, or isometric, crystal has atoms or molecules in a regular pattern that follow three perpendicular axes, each of equal length. The cubic crystalline form has the highest symmetry and is the only isotropic crystal system. Sodium chloride forms cubic crystals.
