Asbestos paper

Description
A thin, flexible, fireproof insulating paper composed of felted asbestos fibers. Asbestos paper is generally bonded with a solution of sodium silicate, silicone resin, or clay. It is used as a thermal insulator for heat pipes as well as an electrical insulator for wires. Asbestos paper is inert to most chemicals.
