Description

A golden yellow coloring agent found in saffron, crocus, and wongsky. Crocin is extracted from the saffron or crocus flowers, and gardenia fruits with hot water.

Other Properties

Soluble in hot water, methanol. Slightly soluble in absolute alcohol, ether, and other organic solvents.
