Description

[Imape Permanence Institute] A standardized test (ISO Standard 14523) developed by IPI to predict potential negative interactions between photographs and their enclosures. The Photographic Activity Test uses a controlled temperature and humidity environment (85% RH and 70C) to incubate a stacked sandwich of samples and degradation detection plates for up to 15 to 40 days. At the end of the simulated aging period, instruments are used to detect fading, staining, or other changes.
