Melmac

Description

[American Cyanamid] Former trademark for a series of melamine formaldehyde molding resins. Melmac resins were usually mixed with cellulose, wood flour, or mineral fillers then molded into high gloss products such as utensils, containers, dishes, coffee makers, buttons, handles, and other household objects. Melmac items are resistant to water, dilute acids and bases, and most organic solvents.
