Description
[Plaid Enterprises] A brand name for a water-based solution of polyvinyl acetate that is used in many art and craft projects. Mod Podge was developed in the 1960s by Jan Wetstone. The name is a shortened version of 'Modern Decoupage'. It is advertised as an all-in-one glue, sealer, and finish that can be used on wood, glass, terracotta, metal, paint, and fabric. When wet, the non-toxic mixture can be removed with soap and water. Mod Podge dries quickly and is available in matte and gloss finishes. Special formulations include mixtures with pigments and glitter.
