Suint

Description
A natural mixture of salts and inorganic matter that is mixed with wool grease on the surface of raw wool. Suint is primarily composed of dried perspiration. There is approximately 12% by weight on raw wool It is separated from the wool grease in a solvent cleaning procedure. Suint contains a high proportion of potassium salts and is used as a source of potash.
