Description
A transparent blue dye derived from anthraquinone. Solvent Blue 35 has the appearance of a dark blueish-black powder. It is soluble in alcholic and hydrocarbon solvents as well as oils, fats and waxes. It is typically used to color inks, lacquers, plastics and polyester fabric.

Physical and Chemical Properties
- Soluble in benzene, toluene, alcoholic and other hydrocarbon solvents, including oils, fats and waxes
- Insoluble in water
- Turns green in 5% hydrochloric acid
- Good heat resistant and light fastness
- Produces a bright color in plastics
- Melting point = 104-105 C
