Description
White powder. Calcium sulfite is used for bleaching paper pulp and textiles. It is also used as an antichlor, disinfectant, and food preservative.
Physical and Chemical Properties
Soluble in acids with the evolution of sulfur dioxide. Slightly soluble in water, ethanol.
