Description
1) An area darkened by the blocking of light. Shaded exterior surfaces, such as buildings and trees are more susceptible to microbiological growths due to the lack of sunshine.
2) An apparatus used to block light, such as a window shade. Shades are often used to block sunlight thereby minimizing heating and UV radiation exposure.
